This section of documentation assumes you will be using the factory user interface. This Customization Documentation may not apply to you if you are using the API with your own User Interface.

The inClick Ad Server and it's associated files should never be modified or replaced unless you have been instructed via the documentation or by a member of our support staff. Unsupported modifications may cause unexpected behavior, or worse, a system that does not function at all. Please do not attempt to modify system, configuration, or other files unless you have been instructed to do so. If you are not sure if you can modify a file, open a support ticket and ask.

User Modifiable Files

The inClick Ad Server system files are compiled and may not be edited. The following files, however, can be edited:

  • /adserverroot/customlogin.php – Sample custom login page. The source code for this file is archived in /adserverroot/docs/customlogin.zip
  • /adserverroot/index.html – Placeholder page that can be safely removed or modified.
  • /adserverroot/index.php – Placeholder page that redirect the user to the default login page of the ad server. This file can be replaced or removed
  • /adserverroot/globals/globals_custom.php - File used to for advanced options and processing.
  • /adserverroot/html (the following files in this directory)
    • footer.html – The footer of every page within the ad server.
    • header.html – The header of every page within the ad server. Care should be taken when editing this file as it contains critical references required for the ad server to function correctly.
    • adtos.html – The advertiser terms and conditions (Sample). This and the pubtos.html HTML can be referenced using a Custom Parameter.
    • pubtos.html – The publisher terms and conditions (Sample). This and the adtos.html HTML can be referenced using a Custom Parameter.
SHOW STOPPER: No other files should be edited or replaced unless you have been instructed to do so in a support ticket or by this document. Support requests due to modified files may not qualify for courtesy support.
All files except the ones listed above will be overwritten with each upgrade or service update release. For example, if you replace the default system logo, it will be replaced again when you upgrade!
