Upgrading

WARNING: If you are using a 2.x version of the inClick Ad Server or older, please open a support ticket for upgrade assistance.

We strongly suggest that you use the most recent version of the inClick Ad Server. By keeping your deployment updated, you will receive the best possible performance in addition to fixes to any issues or bugs.

To upgrade an inClick Ad Server from a 3.x or 4.x version to the current release is simple:

1. Download the UPGRADE package of the inClick Ad Server.
2. Unpack the inClick Ad Server (UPGRADE) locally maintaining the directory structure.
3. Backup your existing deployment.
4. Backup the MySQL database for your ad server.
5. Upload (in BINARY) ALL files over the existing installation.
6. Login to your Administrator account to begin the update process. The update process begins automatically when you log into your admin account.

SHOW STOPPER: Your first login after an upgrade may take a few minutes. This is normal and should not be interrupted

NOTE: If you have performed modifications to the CSS or layout per the instructions in this document, those modifications will not be changed or modified. If you have modified any file that is not defined in this installation guide, or instructed on a support ticket, you may experience issues with your upgrade.
